Lesson One - Food, Work and Downloads

Hello and welcome to my blog. My name is James and I am currently a part-time student-teacher. The home stretch is in sight, although it does seem like graduation is really far away. Hopefully I will only be at university for another six months, although I didn't do too well in one subject last semester... We'll just have to see how it plays out. One way or another I am going to pass and become a great teacher! Wait and see! ;)

Today's lesson was about food. What was the lesson, well I guess it relates to the saying 'You need to crawl before you can walk...' I guess this applies to things you've already done but haven't accomplished in a long time. I was pretty sick of McDonalds, so today for lunch I went to Subway and decided to have a foot long, as I was pretty hungry. Anyways, it was a pretty big sandwich, although to be honest I have never had problems keeping food down. I can eat a fair bit.
However I really struggled with this sandwich today, and my God, it was like it sapped the life out of me... I was so lethargic, I looked half dead to be honest. So next time I go for subway I think I will go for a six inch rather than a foot long.

Part B of today's lesson was work. I need to stop going to bed so late at night because I end up waking up with only ten minutes to get ready for it. I am so lucky that work is only five minutes from home, otherwise I would have been fired a long time ago. Things are getting busy in the world of retail as Christmas is fast approaching. I haven't even started Christmas shopping, but to be honest, who has the time?! Whenever the shops are open, I have to be at work. So there's really only break time to get out there and find stuff for people. Not nearly enough time.
It's only going to get more busy and hectic, so I really need to knuckle up and make sure I am doing the right thing, that way I get more hours. Basic math, more hours = more money. Money = Christmas presents and money to save for my holiday.

Final part of today's lesson is downloads. I ended up downloading nearly 900MB worth of stuff. Damn Youtube! They practically have all the Naruto episodes on there and I have been hooked. I have watched about 20 episodes in the past 2 days. It is just that enjoyable and entertaining for me. However we're allowed 300MB a day... I need to really cut down... :(
Why is it all the addictive stuff is bad for you? Sure wish I was addicted to exercise and saving money. That'd save me.

Well that concludes today's lesson. Stay tuned for more of My Life's Lessons and you can join me and all the mundane fun that is my life.

Take care of yourselves.

- James.

i haven't been able to go Christmas shopping either... and it looks as I won't EVER find the time. :s I work Mondays to Saturdays, and Sundays are always booked with pseudo "social" stuff so that I can actually keeo the few friends I have. And now I can't even bribe them to remain friends with me with nice prezzies :( woe.
