Lesson 40 - Family, Stupidity and Walking the Distance

Today was a much better day at work, though not by much. Still had a couple of customers who were total pains, but the store manager dealt with them, I didn't have a rude customer all day. I did however have an extremely stupid guy approach the counter. He proceeded to pull a game out from a bag he was carrying.

Stupid Guy: Can I trade a game?
Me: Sure, you can trade it towards anything in the store, the value of the trade will be deducted from the cost of the item you purchase.
Stupid Guy: Oh... I paid $40 bucks for this game, I want to return it.
Me: Oh, okay, so you want an exchange then?
Stupid Guy: Yeah, yeah. Only I didn't buy it from this store.
Me: That's okay, where did you buy it from?
Stupid Guy: K-Mart...
Me: Then no. We didn't sell it to you. Go return it at K-Mart.

He proceeded to ask me a barrage of other stupid questions that anyone with half a brain knew the answer to. But he left soon after. How can anyone be that stupid? I didn't think it was humanly possible. Oh well, I hope he knows how to cross the street.

Lesson - When it comes to stupidity it's better to keep your mouth shut than to open it and remove all doubt.

I got home and all my younger cousins were there, it was my Aunty's birthday and we were celebrating it here at our house. I spent some time with two of my youngest cousins, one is born on my birthday. I don't usually do that sort of thing, but it was good. I learned a little more about my younger cousins. Back when they were small, they were just babies, now they're interesting people.

I've also been walking a lot lately. I've been doing about 6km a day. I was listening to some music and it's really a good way to get the creative juices flowing. I'm coming up with more and more ideas now. Hopefully I will blog some of them here.

Take care of yourselves.

James
